Getting to and from Canberra

International flights:

Canberra airport is served by two airlines – Singapore and Qatar – with direct flights to and from Singapore and Doha. There are 14 international flights direct to Canberra each week. Many other major international airlines serve Australia with connecting flights to Canberra from Melbourne and Sydney.

Trains:

Regular train services from Sydney and beyond operate via Transport NSW. The route from Sydney to Canberra takes longer than the coach, but it is a picturesque journey taking in the beautiful surrounds of the New South Wales tablelands. Please note that Canberra rail station is in the suburb of Kingston, a taxi or bus ride away from the CBD and conference location.

Coaches:

Canberra is served by two major operators: Murrays and Greyhound. Hourly services operate each day between Sydney and Canberra (Jolimont Bus Station – in the heart of Canberra CBD and a short walk from the conference location), Woolongong and Canberra and Narooma and Canberra. Coach services are available going on from Canberra to both Brisbane and Melbourne – please note these are extremely long journeys by road. For coach bookings, please see:
